


Marissa J. Mitchell (Ms New Jersey American Coronet) hails from the tiny town of New Milford, where 3 generations of the Mitchell family have resided since 1952.
In her earlier years, she received extensive training in theatre, dance and vocals by accredited and talented instructors and has even had the opportunity to study Shakespeare at the Globe theatre in London, England.
With her background in theatre she has had the chance to work on a few movie and television sets with well known actors such as Josh Hartnett and Kevin Bacon.
Today, with her undergraduate degree from Montclair State University, she currently works in the pharmaceuticals industry and will begin an MBA program in the months to come.
In her spare time, she is a competitive swimmer with the USMS (United States Master Swimmers) program, and she also enjoys spearheading as the president of the first New Jersey Chapter of the Non-Profit Volunteer Organization, “Caring Crowns”, where the focus is to use a pageant title to help get more people involved in their communities through volunteerism. She also enjoys cooking, biking, spending time with friends and family, and traveling west to Utah and Colorado to ski the slopes of the Rocky Mountains every chance she gets!
